Clear aligners are the option most adults ask about: a series of removable, transparent trays that move teeth a little at a time. They come out for meals and for brushing, and in normal conversation most people will not notice you are wearing them.
They are not right for every case — complex bite corrections still do better with fixed braces, and we will tell you plainly which category you fall into rather than selling you the option you arrived hoping for.
Whichever route suits you, orthodontic treatment is not only cosmetic. Crowded or misaligned teeth are harder to clean, wear unevenly, and can strain the jaw.

Records and planning
Photographs, X-rays, and scans or impressions let us map your current bite and plan where each tooth needs to move.

Active treatment
Braces are adjusted, or aligners are changed, at intervals. Each stage moves teeth a small amount at a time.

Retention
Once teeth are in position, retainers hold them there. Teeth drift back without retention — this stage is not optional.
Good to know
- Treatment length varies widely with the complexity of the case. We give you a personalised estimate at consultation.
- Cleaning matters more than usual during treatment; braces and aligners both trap plaque.
- Aligners only work while they are being worn. They need to be in for most of the day to keep to plan.
